BIOGRAPHY

Ben started acting at a very early age, joining his local dramatics society at the age of eight.  An influential teacher inspired him to perform at school.  He went on to do Drama as a subject throughout his entire school education.  He left school at Seventeen to enlist on a two year A-Level course at a performing arts college in Newcastle-Upon Tyne.  By age nineteen he had performed in a huge number of theatrical performances within the North East area.

His passion for performing sent him to Northumbria University to complete the ‘Performance’ BA Honours degree.  His time at University allowed him to branch out to new forms of performance including musical theatre and acting for film and television.  Alongside his course Ben put himself forward to perform in several short films produced by the ‘Media Production’ course at the University.  As a result he gained a great deal of valuable knowledge for the theatre and film.

Following his degree Ben has acted in professional films and commercials.  He had a speaking role in a feature film starring Luke Goss which premiered at Cannes 2012.  He has acted in two national television commercials both of which were aired in 2012.

He recently performed in a high profile short film shot in the North East called 'The Sanctuary' which will be entered in several International short film festivals over the next year.

He had a lead role in a pilot episode for a new TV series which was shot in Brighton in July 2012.

His latest project was an award winning commercial/short film for Sony 'Playstation' directed by Mark Lediard.  The film was awarded the coverted winners prize at the 'Mofilm' short film competition in Barcelona and has now been chosen by Sony as their new online advertising.
